What marketing has worked best for you?

I have the experience that when you give something out for free (think free trial, free sample) and your product or service is good relevant to price then people will come back and pay next time.

What worked for you?

Well, I'm in design, so the things that work for me are Free price quotes and Free consultations. Pair those up with letting the clients know that they don't pay unless they are happy and they are put in a risk-free situation.

everyone one in this world knows that nothing comes free in this world!
so when you say free everyone knows you are luring them into something big.

I suggest depending on what it is you are trying to do... give out samples for free to some people and tell them to go to your website and leave you a comment.. hand a business card out.. so if you hand out 100 samples and 10% of them write a testimonial use that as a referance and sell your products and dont worry about giving anything else out for free!!!!
