What makes amazon.com so great? Their prices aren't very low. So what is it that gives them thousands of customers?

Actually their prices are rather low and you can compare them to other sellers prices. So even if Amazon's price isn't best, there are other options to buy from. In addition to that, where else can you buy just about anything you can think of all from the same place?

Amazon prices are very low. Like I bought a brand new DVD for $4.99 when the lowest anywhere else was $12.99. Also picked up a really nice Samsung VHS to DVD recorder brand new for $79.00 where the cheapest on the other sites were $129.00. So some great deals on there.
