Question What is your biggest road block?

I am curious to know what is holding the aspiring young entrepreneurs of the world back. Is it money? knowledge? lazybones? What is holding you down?

In answering this question my hope is you will find a way through the issue that you claim is keeping you where you are.

To be honest, "lazybones" is one of my biggest set backs. Over the years I've come up with a system where I have to wake up at a certain time and either work at the office or if I'm working at home, I have to leave and drive around for 5 minutes and come back. It gets me into work mode, or else I won't be on my game and probably procrastinate.
    What about you?

I know exactly what my roadblock is and even if I only have $10 to my name it's not money. It's not lazybones...

It's lazymindedness! I am so lazyminded!! I haven't always been, but I have been struggling with being lazyminded and the consiquences of it for several years now and it is a huge roadblock for me. Not just with my enterprising ventures, but every aspect of my life.

I realy like yourhostingspot.com's approach,, waking up at a certain time and driving around for 5 minutes. Thats an excelent idea! I love it! I'm going to try it next week.

Thanks @yourhostingspot.com for that and @OP for posting this helpful topic.

    Time management.

I still work full time (730-4pm) by the time I get home, workout, shower, eat. It's late and my brain is fried. I'm an engineer so I do wayyy too much thinking, calculations, problem solving in the 8 hours of work.

I would like to see somebody who is also working full time and having a business part time. What their schedule is like.

    Mental Strain

I can identify with the mental strain, there is only so much one can take. I have found that I am most aware in the mornings before lunch. If I have a big issue fall in my lap late I will often wait until the next morning to address it. This has saved me from making a fool of my self more than once.

Focus/Concentration - I can't concentrate all day I have to get up and have some food, shower etc. throughout the day. However, I think it's important not to burn yourself out - I would rather do five hours of work a day, every day, than eight hours a day for a couple and then be too demotivated to carry on.

My biggest roadblock is taking action. I'm very resistant to the actions I need to take that are necessary for growing my business and making money because it's uncomfortable for me to go out and talk to people yet I'm not in a position where I could hire someone to do the necessary work. Makes for a depressing cycle of slow progress and growth and regret that I got into this business in the first place.

The crazy thing is, if I was able to force myself to action for the past year even just a little, I would be doing far better financially and I know it yet I still can't force myself to action.

My setback right now is legal problems. And well money. Lawyers cost a lot of money to talk to for things. I need to make sure that what I am doing doesn't get me sued by big companies so I need to wait >.<

    slow start

Wow guys, I am glad to see so many sharing their troubles. As you can see there are many reasons for not moving forward but don't let that trouble you. Persistance will pay off. If anyone is interested I am working on solutions for these and other issues revoling around getting a business stared @

I believe there is an inherent simplicity behind these problems and all can be solved by finding a single root cause.

My biggest roadblock, would be the fact that I am unable to find a DECENT Supplier in the UK For anything.

And the fact I do not drive or have any money

besides that, I am extremely determinded to start and develop a Big Business.

Mine would have to be Me! I've run over many roadblock in the last couple years. I started making 3, 6, and 12 month plans for all aspects of my life. I haven't hit everything on my list but i've gotten a lot more accomplished using them. I started exercising and eating right every day. I've lost 40 lbs and have a lot to go, but I feel a ton better. I try to learn something new (and relevant) every day. I also reach out to friends on facebook or email. Not just a poke or like, but a hey, how have you been, what are you up to. It maintains networks and is a social outreach for those of us who spend our days working on our own!. The hardest part is to keep Me movign, to keep My actions in perspective, and to realize that I don't want to be like everyone else. For those reasons I work had every day to overcome me.

Personally majority of my knowledge is computing, I did run a IT repair business, but in Cambridge, UK the market is just far too competitive and i find myself making little money at all.

I wish to change what I am doing, I am looking for new business ideas...

    Anybody have any good ideas?

David - I just checked out your sites, and it looks like you already have a proven plan. I would stick with what you know and repeat it.
