What is the safest way to buy a cheap domain (from a payment point of view)

When ever I do a deal on a big domain $1000-$5000 I'll use escrow.com just to be safe. They have some fees but it has always worked out well for me.

When I buy a domain from $25 I'll use paypal because there is minimal risk with this amount of money.

I'm in the process of buying three domains ranging from $50 to $300. I'm wondering what the safest way is to go about this? I've had some bad luck using paypal to buy online lately as they don't care if you ever get what you ordered if its not an eBay item.

What would you all recommend? If I was the seller I would 100% use escrow.com from any deal... but as the buyer I need to keep my costs down.

Honestly Escrow is the best and safest. I use paypal for smaller deals but absolutely always use escrow for the bigger ones.

Yes, the OP is not asking as to where to get cheaper domains. Its obvious he/she is not buying them direct from the registar, but instead Premium Domains from the individual owners.

I've never had a PayPal problem (yet), but if you find Escrow to work well for you then I would go with that.

if you have BOA, use the shopesafe function to generate a virtual credit card, it can be use only once. Keep your real card safe
