Did I say this already? Not sure, but if I have, I'll say it again. The best business advice I've ever heard came directly from Warren Buffet.

Two steps for business/investing/personal financial success:

    1. Never lose money
    2. Refer back to point 1

The best is to be honest and make your customers feel important. I can't tell you the number of times that simply making a customer feel like hes being listened to by a real person has saved my butt even when I made a mistake and shipped something late or the wrong thing. Mistakes happen and making your customers feel important as well as being honest when its your fault will help you retain customers.

Don't take OPM (Other people's money) to fund your business unless you're prepared for the consequences. Bootstrappers who launch lean, stay lean and remain completely customer centric will win in the long run.

Best business advice I've ever received was this:

STOP WORKING FOR A PAYCHECK AND WORK FOR YOURSELF.

This was from a former boss. Now my company works alongside his on projects. He does a lot of funding for startups as well.
