What is one thing you wish you had known before starting your business?

I am in the process of starting my own company but this is my first time and I am wondering what kind of problems people have run into and what I should be expecting to run into in the road ahead.

I guess the biggest problem any startup company would have is getting into the market.

If you are planning on starting up, research thoroughly. Look into whether or not there is genuine demand and a lack of supply in whatever goods or services that your company is providing. Know your competitors and identify your niche that separates you from the others.

To know that there is no such thing as - "get rich fast". Im not saying that the persons who say it about their product is lying. They are geting rich and fast by using their own techniques. But none of them even realize that even if we know the way we will have a hard time walking it (like they did when they first started). So by saying you will get the results fast I always goted the mind set of - Okay it will be easy. and after a couple of non successful attempts i stoped because I was not getting the results FAST.
My advice for not doing the mistakes i did is - "the amount of value you put in, the amount you will get." So when you are starting something new allways remember that you wont get more than you invested.
