What Do You Want From CHINA

Hi guys i finally managed to get a connection from china (old school friend).Judging from previous post i have read here on YE people are reluctant to provide info about suppliers in China. Today that ends here..i want you guys to tell me what kind of suppliers and Manufactures(electronics, textile, toys etc) you are looking for in china and with the help of the connection we can build a list. as for Alibaba and Tradekey those sites are full of scams so i wouldnt recommend them.

Are you offering sourcing products from China for a fee? Or you will act as a commission agent for the manufacturers? Also can your contact ensure supply of products to various countries around the world or only specific countries?

I thought I am located in China now and it seems you would like to start a business that is a kind of sourcing. I just thought maybe I could do something for you since I am doing this kind of job for a long time. Our web site is the system we help our clients to see the purchasing clearly, it helps us to understand easier and faster. My reply is not the AD for my website. If you don't like, then, I will not reply anymore. But meanwhile, you are going to loss a professinal one who is good at sourcing.

No im not an Agent and all this is free. what im trying to do is collect a list of items people on this forum who would like to buy in china and then let my friend in china find the supplier who are realiable. Or manufactures their products like clothing. Without the fear of being scammed.

Yes!dear Vince. I think you have got a good idea for going to get some worthy goods. It was said the first step is very important for the success. As I am located in Guangzhou city which is the center of the famous big Pearl Triangle in China, it's really a good place to do sourcing for overseas, especially for garments, watches, jeans. If you are going to souce something other, I could give you some idea to guide you directly to the good sourcing. Good luck everyone~

for the purpose of collecting info of what kind of made in China products sell good in your country, maybe you can try to set up a fulfillment service first, from observing the other companies, you will know. but the fulfillment market in US is not only full, it's crowded. dont know where you are

    btw, vince, be nice

Best products to purchase form China are unbranded, cheap goods where the market is flooded with expensive equivalents e.g. Jeans.

Jeans can be purchased, if buying in bulk, for £1-£2 and yet, Levi are selling jeans for £50+ all day long.

Spot a gap in the market?

    I agree Vince, be nice.
What you just explained, is in fact, being an agent. Unless you dream up another great name for it. Your obviously very green in this field, and you are liable to get in WAY above your head until you educate yourself more, and do your first importation.
Have you been to China? Do you have an import license? Do you understand the legalities and stipulations of importation? Everyone has someone they "know" in China. So dont snit at those who live there, and currently do what your talking about.

I've been to China numerous times, dealt with factories, have sourcing agents and quality inspectors, as well as importation brokerage lanes. Its a great business, but not an easy one. I would just suggest doing some more research on this before you try to offer a service, and blow off others.

Your old school buddy is not going to stop anyone from being scammed in China. He/she is also not going to have time to check out every supplier that someone might mention. Be careful, you don't seem to know much about sourcing in China...
Alibaba is only full of scams for silly people who look to source branded items, but that's their own fault. It is actually an incredibly good resource for sourcing anything you could imagine.
