Lightbulb What Do You Think? Opinions Please!

Hello everybody, im kind of new here. I just wanted to write abit about myself (wont bore you lot too much!)

Im 18, and had to leave sixth form due to illness. I have alot of spare time now and i have always been interested in business, i just love anything to do with it - cant describe why!

Basically to cut a long story short, i have found some really good suppliers that deal with authentic designer clothing. I have spent months researching alot of things including market ect. Im sure that once my site is up and running i will be able to make sales because of the products i have, the prices i use, and also my custom designed website that customers will like. The trouble is (as many of you know) is start-up. I have no money at all, as i have not be even able to work. I could ask from family but i would probably need about £5000 to stock it up to a good level and get the website designed (and all other business expenses). What i was thinking is that i could make a site on html, as i have got knowledge in this, use the free paypal payment system and start up that way. The site wont look the best but i feel that if i can direct friends to this ect then i would make a few sales. Only when i have built a substantial amount of money up that way, could i think about getting a designer to do me a proper website and fully stock up.

What do you guys think, should i take the risk and try and start up big from the start, or make use of my skills that wont cost me nothing, and built a ok site, with only a few hundread pound of stock.

    Regards
    Darren O'Brien

Just because you build it, does not mean that they will come, customers that is. Starting an internet business is harder than starting a traditional brick and mortar. I would really focus on your strategy for putting your site out there among the billions of other sites. Lots and lots of research.
