Thumbs up What do you think of free website designers?

A friend of mine just told me of a blog that claims it will make a website for free, must make its money off ads. Anyway would you trust someone else like these people design-your-website-for-free.blogspot.com/ to make a site for you or would you do it yourself. I would like a site with a PayPal component but I can’t give strangers my financial info.

Their are people that will design websites for free, they are usually people that are just starting out and want to build a portfolio. You should never give any financial information to people claiming they will do something for free.

I'd keep away from them...as someone above said never give your financial details away to someone claiming their services are free. If you know how to design websites yourself then go ahead and do that otherwise hire someone trustworthy to do it for you. All the best with it

i make sites for free, but you pay for hosting and management. if you have no idea about how to make a site and can barely use the net then its a good product, all you do is email me and i update the site. lots of students design sites for free n00bs do as well.

Go to your local college and put up a note on the bulletin board that you are looking for someone to design a web site for you. You will get amazing opportunities here and will help some struggling designer's portfolio if you select him/her.

It's not really a good idea. If you're planning to make a site, purchase a domain and create on your own.

That is a risky venture for them...to put their income in the hands of someone that may or may not do anything with the site they worked super hard to create...hmmm.
