What do you think?
First off, I have been coming to the forum for months, just haven't jumped to any discussions...
Me and a couple of friends are designing a website that searches garage parking / pay parking lots for every state, city, address, etc. The information will be added by users, looking to win points for prizes, free parking, free advertising, and a number of other ideas (Refer to Gas Buddy)
There is a lot of functionality with this website including:
You can search by city, state, address, cost, distance from location, etc.
Reviews/ Feedback about garage
Forum
Articles
Lots of others but I don't want to go into great detail. There are alot of users that search for parking in specific areas, why not make it more detailed and in one site?
My question is I haven't seen a website like this, so there may be a reason why I haven't.
Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Great observation. This might be your first hint that this isn't the best idea.
Reasons:
Parking prices do not change daily like gas prices.
Parking demand is related to location. People will not park 5 miles away to get cheaper parking, and thus will not bother searching the internet for cheaper parking.
There is limited supply. Why spend the time looking online to find the cheapest parking only to find no spaces available once arriving.
There are obviously even more reasons why this isn't where I would put my money, but I'm sure you're realizing that you don't need to hear more.

This site would be created for those looking for cheaper parking locally, while earning points towards prizes and raffles for entering information about the parking garages they normally use.
My target audience is 18-55, mainly corporate america.
The site will be free to post and free to use. Advertising would be revenue once I have the traffic.

18-55, mainly corporate America is not a target audience. Too broad.
I can use my navigation system and it shows every parking garage in the country already. Why would I need this, when I could look it up in my car?

Also, what kind of advertising could you couple with garage spaces? Cheap cleaning crews?

I just don't see this as an attractive opportunity. Good luck to you if you choose to push forward regardless though.

This idea has already been done. There are a couple boston based websites that do basically the same thing, and, as Josh pointed out, most navigation systems have a garage finder built in.
If you can find some way to improve the existing websites/technology then maybe you can dig deeper.
Good luck
