Wink I may be a little biased...

Yea the product is good, but its not perfect. I imagine someone has offered the service to you, so you can reference my site to see if there is anything that interests you. If so, get back with the person that offered PPL to you and, if not, let whoever it is know that your not interested, please don't leave him/her in the dark. If you have any questions, don't hestitate to ask me.

Well no one tried to sell it to me yet, but my friend is a seller for them. So is it pretty much like legal insurance? Plus there is a shit load of affiliate programs these guys have, so I told my friend that I am questioning the legitimacy of this business.

Yes, it works like legal insurance, where you have various benefits covered under a monthly premium and a discount on uncovered issues (i.e criminal defense). The affiliate programs, I believe, are in place because of how the particular state views the product, where some states view PPL as insurance while others don't. I don't know why this is, but you should be able to find the info your looking for since PPL is a public company (ticker:PPD). Hope this helps.

Opinion on prepaid legal

Most law firms do not charge for your first consultation...which is mostly what pre paid legal is directed at. Secondly, most attorney's are astute enough in business to know that if a client is a good one (has a good case) they will be flexible enough to offer you a discount if you ask for it.

That is not true in the sense that an attorney/law firm that offers a free consultation usually has some limitation (i.e a time limit of 30 minutes). There is no time limit with PPL and the consulations aren't singular, in other words, if I have more questions/need further consultation on the issue I can call and ask with the same attorney (in most cases). Also I can be advised on (unlimited) other issues and it is all covered under the first benefit of the plan. Plus, if the issue warrants it, I can get a letter or phone call from the law firm on my behalf which is also covered. If you wanted to do that without PPL, you would probably pay much more on one issue than a PPL member's monthly premium.

I could keep going, but it's on my site cause there's several other benefits (they vary by state) that come with the memebership.
