What could you do with a nightclub/arena to make money?

    Hey guys,

I am trying to brainstorm and come up with some ideas. Using my interests - music, websites, internet, events I want to do something interesting for people my age. Something to cater to people from say 18 - 28

If someone gave you a nightclub for private hire for a night - what would you do to make money out of it?

    --

Ok - charge an entrace fee

Some kind of promotion. your going to have say 500+ people from the ages of 18-30 to be able to promote something to? What will that promoting be of?

    Drinks

What else? - Anyone have any cool ideas to be able to do something with a really cool empty nightclub for a night?

I would just have a party.

If you really want to promote something, but can't think of anything yourself, bring in another company to promote. Liquor companies and beer distributors are always happy to do some promotions.

My friends and I always had the idea of starting a non alcoholic night club. cause being christians we dont drink and dont really want to be in that environment but it would be cool to have somewhere cool to go.

So I would probably give that a shot if I were doing it.

I'd probably just have a party too, you could make quite a alot from that alone if it's promoted well enough.

You could have a fashion show and a party afterwards.

Interesting idea. Do you reckon people would go with it?

Hahaha no I don't see that working man - some people are fussy about what they wear when they go out and some people might not have these colours.

By doing that, I'm reducing the amount of people I target to coz people might not want to or don't have the colours.

    It's a good idea...

I like it - needs some tweaking. Instead of full on colours...maybe some kind of noticable sticker or something...

But I want money...how to make money? lol

You throw a good, big party, and charge people to get in. Spend money on getting a good DJ, sound equipment and lighting, and promote the hell out of the party.

The rave scene is still huge. If you live in a good city, you can stay open all night. Its a great scene for the 18-25 year olds. Good music to dance too and lots of partying.

Give the people that go there an original experience. The bar and club scene seem to fade here in Boston. But the rave scene stays forever. There are a lot of downsides to starting a place like this though. Goodluck!

What about having a nightclub that earns money by giving people a chance to earn money?

Maybe can ask people to bet on the odds of the next performing singer, next song, next music etc. And of course work out the odds so that you'll always be on the winning side.

They've already had the perfect answer...... "rave scene stays forever"...... Every year come December we hold the yearly student rave in the Garden Route, South Africa. 10"s upon thousands of students from all over South Africa convert on Knysna and Plettenberg Bay to participate in this one month "student rave" by walking around the entire month looking like zombies with anesthetized brains from smoking to much marijuana and drinking to much alcohol. An old shabby looking building situated on the outskirts of town in an industrial area is used for the nightclub/arena "night entertainment", a food trailer is parked directly in front of the door were the students enter and pay a huge fee (haha they pay it, its daddy's money) a DJ is hired, fridges are packed full of alcohol and the music beats..... Doom..... Doom..... Doom..... until day break. The students then retire to the beach passing out in the sun latter waking up looking like sun dried tomatoes from been burnt by the harsh African sun. What really gets the house rocking is the foam party (foam machines are cheap to hire) and the hat and shirt party. Always remembering to have plenty food at hand for the students when they get hungry (and trust me they can eat a lot, some have quite an appetite)
