    What business are you into?

Just curious to know what businesses everyone here is currently doing right now? I am just starting out in planning my first business so I thought it would be cool if everyones gave us a little background on what they have gotten into?

Right now I am weighing the options between a business catering business suits and a urban apparel store. Either way, I plan to start both ventures, just not sure which to begin first... mind telling about your business your beginning somewhat?

I am currently chasing two things, part of a solid overall plan.

1.) Looking into Ebay/E-tailing/Dropshipping as bread and butter money. This will hopefully allow me room to move in quitting the day job. Fortunately, I have a very understanding (and wonderful) SO, so this makes it easier.

2.) Long term: opening an entertainment software dev house aimed primarily at online episodic content and casual games.

@bucnutz19: What type of business are you planning?

Export Trade Company - specializing in computers/electronics, car audio/video. Right now I only have 2 solid markets in Trinidad & Tobago, and Jamaica.

My company also sells the same items to conusmers directly, and businesses get a discount.

I haven't made enough to quit my day job yet, but my goal is to leave by November or December.

I don't really need to tell you what my business does, you can check it out for yourself if you really want to know. I was reading these posts and quite a few of them have a lot on their plate and still trying to quit their day job. My current company has been able to pay me enough so I haven't needed a regular job for a few years (and I'm only 23); but its been years in the making. I started my first business when I was 16. My advice would be to just keep it simple in the beginning, don't get too much on your plate. Keep your mind focused instead of split between things. Once something picks up or fails, then you can adventure into other ideas if you wish.
