What are some low startup computer or electronic/electrical engineering business?

What are some computer/engineering related startups that have a proven business model with low startup cost besides PC repair?

My talents and skills are definitely computer and electrical engineering (circuit design). One problem with engineering business is the high startup cost. You need expensive tools.

I've never own a business myself so I think it's better to get my feet wet with proven business model. I don't think it's good to make up your own business model if you are inexperience. It's possible but risky.

There is always a demand for consulting work in ECE. Whether it be with inventors, small companies, or non-technical companies, there are always people looking for design work to be done. Just look around this forum, people are always trying to figure out how to get prototypes made of new ideas they have. Of course to be successful as a consultant you need to be an excellent networker... not a skill inherent to most engineers.
