Website business to motivate teenagers to start a business?

A website designed to try motivate teenagers to taking that extra step and starting a business. Advice would be given to teenagers as starting a business is a scary process. Also stories of teenagers that have started a business and are becoming successful that motivates and shows that it can be done. Special videos uploaded of more famous young people that have done it for example Mark Zuckerberg or Jamal Edwards.

What are your thoughts on this ?

    Fraser.

thats a very good idea to start something, but I have a few questions:
    > Who will give them advice on their ideas? will you have a panel of entrepreneurs to give them an advice?
    > will the website be limited to teenagers only? if so, then why teenagers? why not people between ages 20-25, since thats when they actually learn what they want to do, in my opinion.
    > will you arrange for some competitions or investors who would help these entrepreneurs with investments required to start their business?

To your question who will give advice ?
Well my mum is a CEO of a big hospice in Scotland and is very involved with a lot of business men/women that are very successful. I have met a lot of them and i am sure they would be happy to help.

Will the website be limited to teenagers only ?
It was just an idea that has popped into my head at the moment. i have not fully thought it through yet. There are a lot of websites like my idea such as this website ( young entrepreneur ) but as a young person myself there just seems to be something missing. my target market would probably be around 13 to 25.

Will you arrange for some competitions or investors to help ?
That is a good idea yes. As it is very hard right now to get a job just now after university a competition could be set up in which the best candidate could get a job or financed for their own business.

I'm only 18 myself and have not got a lot of experience but i have a lot of ideas but just feel its a very intimidating to start out in business at a young age.

I feel this website could do well in this current financial climate as jobs are very limited and young people start to create jobs rather than find one.

Please share any ideas you have.

Good answers, I'm glad to find out you are very clear about this idea.
one suggestion, the website would become even better if you can start asking investors to come here, listen to ideas, pick the ones they feel worth it and invest with these young entrepreneurs. You know wats best about young people, especially teenagers? they have a free mind, they can come up with the craziest out of box ideas and plans that can literally change this world. You can use it, just like that tv program 'dragon's den', you can start an online activity where the young entrepreneurs can pitch their ideas and be selected to work with investors.
how old are you by the way?

That's funny you mention a dragons den sort of idea because i was actually thinking about something like that today. I myself am 18 years old. i have no real idea on how you start a website but i have bought a book on how you do so i will start to read up on it and then do some more research. The dragon den idea is fantastic

hey Fraser, my previous i.d has somehow been banned from YE all I received was Banned for the reason: no reason specified, and ban will be lifted: never
so I came up with this new i.d.
about the website, you should try to start it within this year cuz I'm on the edge of falling out of your target market bracket
I would definitely like to look for a partner there in my clothing business

    Hi Fraser

I just recently got interested in starting a website and developing a business. For me, I've started from scratch and finding the right education in the process was key. I came across Chris Farrell's "Create a Website by 3:45pm This Afternoon" resource and it really helped me understand the workings of a website business. There's a lot of free stuff that Chris offers, and you don't need to commit to purchasing anything. He's helped me get things off the ground. This may be something that would interest the teens you're referring to...thought it might help. You can check out my link...first-webpage.com

    Any thoughts?

    Spunky
