How do I go about building an affordable website for my business?

The best way is to use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor.
I have used website wizard in the past...for basic websites.
What kind of site are you looking to build?

You can always practice with free websites like geocities and similar. Then of course the What you see is what you get website editors. Personally, I love Microsoft Frontpage, but I have also used Macromedia's Dreamweaver. Good luck.
