Hey everyone, I've become very interested in the idea of web marketing and understand it can be very profitable. Does anyone have any experience in this and know what i have to do to get started?

You're asking too broad of a subject. That's like asking what type of business you should start.

There are hundreds of ways to market online. I'd suggest picking up some books on the subject or joining Wealth Affiliate (see my signature). That should teach you enough so that you can focus on what you want to market.

You need to think about how and what you plan to market, too. With they be tangible products or virtual goods? Will they be affiliate or retail products? Will you use PPC or natural SEO or both? There are too many questions to ask in order to give you a better answer.
