    web design illiterate

I am looking into creating a business ad directory for my city. My city is small but growing very quickly, there is only one website doing what I wish to do, how ever I feel it is very unprofessional looking and there is room for a better ad site.

I am pretty web design illiterate; I would not be able to create a professional looking website on my own.

Creating the basic website with the necessary WebPages and such (contact, directories for businesses) does not pose a problem for me. The design aspect of things is within my reach, it is the technically side of websites that get me, such as the scripting.

My question is when I have to add new ads and pages do I have to keep on hiring a web designer to do so??

Also are there web design services that will create specific advanced scripts for you? (i.e. a sign up form on my website so people can submit business info online by them selves, then the info will automatically upload itself on the site??)

Lastly, is there any software out there that relative newbs can use to create pro. looking websites? I am not talking about a FrontPage program however, something better.

    Suggestions, thanks guys.

Do it dynamically with PHP. Honestly the best way is to either pay someone to do it, or spend a little time reading/researching online. what you want to do really isnt that hard

PHP? Could you elaborate a bit please, I believe I could do it my self; however it would take substantially much more time then just paying someone.

Well ill do something similar to what your suggesitng extremely cheaply if you want it. PHP is a serverside language used in webdesign. Basically you would store all the info of the businesses in a database and get the PHP to retrieve the code to make the information pages. Add contactmikeslevin@hotmail.com if you want to take me up on the offer, or email mikeslevin@gmail.com
