    Exclamation Warning to all members!!!

As much as i love this forum it has over time become the breeding ground for schammers and con artists.

I have seen several people lurking around looking for "Mr Soft Touch", and also many false promises over the past 6 months on this forum...

I would advise people before sending any money or purchasing anything to investigate properly what the crack is...

I also believe the forum owners have a certain responsibilty to add a certain criteria for those seeking investment, just an email address is not suffice in my opinion.

I would appreciate other serious members point of view and hopefully we can help make this place an even greater forum than it is.

    cheers

If the owners increase the complexity of the investment posts then its going take them more time, and as the forum is free is it right to expect them to give up their time for nothing?

Yep... same with most online forums unfortunately. People need to do the proper diligence when making an investment, Big Brother can't do it all

All the "I have X dollars, what should I invest in" posts don't help the situation. Those types of posts just give the con artists hope. This is a website dedicated to business - do your research and then make an informed decision.

I agree guys but re this site makes no money? This site dose ok im sure of that... I just think there should be a basic code of conduct/ practise when asking for investment.

Also remember that competition win a race horse? WHat happened there, think of all the free advertising generated then to find it was a scham. DId the forum moderators even have a contact telephone for this person?

I dont know i jus think we should do more to protect our members and community from these people...

Would value more members input, 100 brains is better than 1!

Just put a warning that you have to read before you enter the investment opportunities section. Unfortunately, if they're not contained, they'll spam the ENTIRE forum. I saw the Rich Dad free forums be utterly ruined by MLM spammers, and the mods lacked the fortitude to kick them off. Then the mods made some forum members mods, and the new mods tilted the board towards their friends and booted their enemies. When Rich Dad Corp tried to take back their forum, everybody who was an active participant set up their own forum and automatically banned everybody who wasn't in the in crowd (including me, because I'd somehow gotten on their bad side). So the RD forum died an unholy death except for MLM. I'd hate to see that happen here. The mods here do a pretty good job, and as long as they can keep the spam contained, and maybe put up a warning, then I'm happy.

Precisely, use common sense or go learn it before you send money to anyone..

Also, if we want to better the forum, simply report the suspicious posts. That is why it's there after all. Might as well ignore anything you read from anyone with under 7 posts that has a sales pitch in it.

    Plain and simple.

If it sound too good to be true, it probably is.

    "Knock knock"
    "Who's there?"
    "Madoff"
    "Madoff who?"
"Bernie just Madoff with your money"

Another good point is. If these people just drop by and make one post about their business. The chances are, they are most likely just after your money, and not really there to participate in your forum. I'd like to stay away from buying anything from these guys.

I am hesitant of buying from anyone who is not a regular contributor. I would look at the content of their contributions, if it isn't up there it's no deal. And if that is okay, then I'd go into the usual deal of meeting a person and securing the deal through contracting.

I like the fact that there is a place for investment posts. If I am interested I can check it out, if not, they don't bother me.
