I always thought the forums could have better rules/less forums.

It's also the internet so you have to be careful especially with money. I have a hard time believing the people in the investment forum. If you had that type of money that some of them claim to have and not much of a reputation on the forum, why would you want to invest in a virtually anonymous user's idea? Just seems a tad fishy.

There are plenty of registered members but only a small percentage are active, which is too bad.

I have to disagree...the moderation on YE is fine. If you were scammed its most likely because you didnt take due diligence.

Try using a service like Paypal when paying anyone for work-the moment you complain they will automatically freeze their account for several days. Anyone doing real business on the internet uses Paypal having frozen funds is not a good feeling.

You want to make this thread sticky? But not many people have posted responses thus far if it is really an issue then perhaps it will become sticky from so many responses.

I Love YE and have had alot of work done cheaply MediaFakes.com, ShareBerry and YourEmergencyCash.com to name a few.

My experience here has been positive overall...Because you feel you were scammed does not give you the right to blame the whole community.

All the "I have X dollars, what should I invest in" posts don't help the situation. Those types of posts just give the con artists hope. This is a website dedicated to business - do your research and then make an informed decision.

touche good sir. i always thought it was common sense to do research before investing any money into anything. either way, the internet is an amazing tool and although cons have used it to scam people, people can use it to expose these scams for what they are and avoid them.

That's a joke right? If you can't even figure out who is an admin or owner of the site (and the guy posts frequent enough) then perhaps the joke is on you. I don't mean to be rude but if you've been a member for a year and have been one of these "active" members, there shouldn't be any reason you haven't ran across the owner of the site. I haven't been registered or around for that long and even I've seen him post a few times already in the short time I've been on here (and I hardly come to this forum)
