    Warehouse Rave (Different Context)

Okay so first off, I found this forum through another post, which I would link but it won't let me however my situation differs from the other.

My situation is similiar in nature but I felt creating a new topic would be justified. First off, I am in the southern california area and I'm quite young (over 18 however). Whilst on a random adventure I came across an abandoned warehouse. Tonight was the third time I've visited it, it seems to be a warehouse that was in the midst of being renovated and remodeled but it was never completed. I myself, have hopes to go into the field of music production and live production so naturally the first thing I thought when I came upon this location was to throw a party. However, I have every intention of doing the homework and such.

I plan to start small with just friends and get a feel for the water. But basically I'm want to ask you guys about the best way to do this. It most certainly isnt a good idea... I know that. But I'm pretty passionate about it and I want to do everything in my power to get this off the ground.

EDIT: The warehouse IS for lease, so doing this legally is an option however I lack the funds to go about that route any time soon.

tldr: abandoned warehouse, want to throw a party, need advice, I do dj and have equipment so thats not a problem.

Thanks for any input and help!

You have an interest in music production and live production? You have DJ equipment? and you are comfortable with performing? But you need advice on throwing a party?

Let me see, I'm familiar with your industry. In the situation you're in, you could continue in the mindset that you have and potentially make a couple thousand "illegally" over an extremely short period of time risking everything you have.

    OR

You could sit down, get some sound advice, put together a solid business plan, raise funds, lease and renovate the warehouse, open your own club, and potentially make hundreds of thousands "legally" over an extended period of time while building a business of value that could be sold.

Let us know which you'd like to do and we'll see what advice we can give

Well, I spent the last week or so looking around and researching. Basically, shortly after making this post I came to the conclusion that doing this illegally was the incredibly wrong path to take

So with that said, I've got very little funds of my own to get this started and from what I've been looking into, from my point of view the best way to go about doing this would be to find someone who would be willing to invest money into this. So basically, my question is now... whats the best way to go about finding a source of money to get this off the ground?
