    Arrow Vertical Hydroponic Business

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with Hydroponic Farming Businesses? I'm very interested in this idea and was just wondering if there is possibly a good profit in a business like this? I also think I would enjoy a business operation like this being that I'm also at school for landscape architecture and know a few things about hydroponics and plants. It's also better for the environment because it does not use as much land as a regular farm does and about 1% of the water a farm uses as well as eliminating runoff. Their aren't really any hydroponic farms in my area(that I know of) the closest one being about 300 miles away I would say in FL. Anyways thanks for the help.

I was thinking of getting a few of these even though they are quite expensive they save so much space because it is vertical. I read they are around 75k for 1 or 5 for 50k a pop. The forum will not let me post the web site because this is my first post, but it is called the Omega Garden Carousel if anyone wants to look it up and read up on it.

I was also pondering going to just about every decent and nice restaurant in about a 60 mile radius and asking if they would be interested in purchasing hydroponic foods. I would also plan to go to a lot of grocery stores in the area as well and ask produce managers and shoppers if they would be interested in buying hydroponic foods as well.

Once again if theres anyone that can help me out I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks for the help.

What would be the reason that I would by this food over the normal or organic brand I buy at the store?

They are grown locally so not a lot of fossil fuels are used transporting them to a different state and the money also goes back into the local economy. They only use 1% of water that a large farm uses, it eliminates runoff. The plants are not sprayed with herbicides or pesticides. It's really better for the Earth than regular farming. I was thinking about trying to sell them to restaurants and grocery stores.

I think if you can supply all the benefits you mentioned at a competive price you may have a customer. But the cost of setting up would be out of sight. I don't think you could ever come close to recouping your money.
