using internet ads

I am trying to get my own clothing line off the ground (www.hookedonhiphop.com) and was wondering if it would look, well for a lack of better words, tacky or cheesy, to put up internet ads on the main page to bring in a little more revenue. I am trying to keep a clean, professional look for the site, but it seems like a really easy way to bring in some extra money, since i dont have much startup capital to get this company off the ground. Any thoughts?

Yes putting up too many ads does come off as cheesy. But one or two should not hurt.
