    *update On My Business*

ok, so I posted a thread about How I was going to start a Tele Fundraising company-check the thread out so you know what I am talking about.
Everyone, check this business idea out.

OK so, I used to work for kirby and was their best salesman, and the owner(who was shady) skimmed me and I quit, I think I am goign to meet hom tomorrow and Discuss the use of His facilities.

He has a telemarketing room that he uses to set appointments to get in and demo the kirby.

I am going to tell him that I will give him 20% of profit, just for letting us use his computers and phones, and I will get all the stuff I need to do it legally. He likes money just as much as me, Ill tell him Ill come back and run a team in the summer and sell some kirbys. I also have a friend who I recently met that worked for the business that gave me the idea and we are going to go in together, and this way 2 minds are better than 1 and we can get it done.

    What you guys think?

I am going to keep the updates comming.

do you have any personal experience with telemarketing? Do you have people that will be working for you that have telemarketing experience? Thats a tough job, selling vacuums door to door is a cake walk compared this. Do you honestly know what you are getting yourself into?

What about lists? Lists of people you are going to call. Do you have a source already? Is it quality? Thats going to be one of the most important things for your business.

Have you put together a flow chart of the business processes yet?

well 1st of all I love sales, and trust me telemarketing is ALOT easier than direct sales with vacuums.

And ya I have 2 yrs experience.
Also fundraising is exempt from the do not call list.

    And no flow chart yet.
I am going to get 4-6 people I know with tele marketing experience.
the 1st week we will work on a VERY high rate of commission until the weeks after where I will switch to hourly and drop the commission rate.

If if I see any profits for me I will expand the business into my own office and get an automatic dialer, etc. This is just to bootleg it, because I have nothing to barter with the banks with to get any kind of loan.

    Besides it will be fun.

in tele fundraising you can talk to 10 people in 10 mins, and 1 could be a potential sale. With kirby you could be beating a dead horse, or it could be a bomb deal and you just wasted 2 hours of your life.

I couldn't agree more. Don't give the man a dime if he cheated you out of yours in the past. It may not look the most professional but it may be better to start this off in your garage or basement as compared to a rented space - plenty of fortune 100 companies started this way.

Oh god, Kirby? Dude you are getting sketchier and sketchier the more I read about you.

If anyone doesn't know about kirby, they trick you into a "free room cleaning," then pitch you a vaccuum or cleaning system. They seriously dick around in your house for hours. If you actually like the system, don't spend more than a G on it, even though they will be pitching you the system for $2,500+

Ok, I am not sketchy. I was suckered in to selling them which I did, an I only asked betewn1.8k-2.1k but sold em always around 1.5k. But I bought mine for way lower. And its direct sales. Its been happening since the 30's and still works. It was a job and I took it.

And he just skimmed me. He thinks he knows everything. When I start talking about money he will listen. He is the type of guy who feels he should always get a cut. And I think it will turn out to be a good trade off. He is lazy so why not make 30% of what the profit is? he will take the deal or try to huslte, My partner in crime when I sold vacs was a 26 yr old guy named Muhammed Bennaucer and he taught me how to hustle (lol) and I can hustle him. so ya.

their alot better than bissels trust me.
