    Tshirt Company Owners

Hey there I was interested in starting a tshirt company and was wondering if anyone with experience could shed some light on me.

How do most of you all handle your designs and printing?
I was looking to find an outside source in another country to give my design to and have them print as well.

Do you use a graphic designer or make your own design?
I really cant draw at all but I still have some great ideas I want to like to have produced, not to sure how much a graphic designer cost even was thinking about teaming up with one but dont know where to find them

    How does the shipping work?
I really have no idea on when a customer places an order and shipping works, I heard of when you do direct shipping where they can order it from where you have it made so you dont have so much overhead storage to worry about

I have more question but this would work for now and thank you all for your replies

Finfreedom11, I own a manufacturing facility. I'm also looking to team up with someone to kick start a project, how about sharing more details? well I dont want to over exaggerate but yes I have both stitching and printing facility so you wont have to worry a thing about production, its sales that worries me rather:P can you handle them? drop me a mail on info@bteez.com and we'll discuss.

the way i see it, if you want to do business, dont follow books, follow your heart and mind, learn to take risks, learn to make crazy decisions. If steve jobs would have followed books, we wouldnt have known about apple today, if bill gates would have followed books or articles, we wouldnt have known about microsoft today. My point is, they didnt follow books, they followed their ideas. First dig deep into your mind and pen down your idea, then write your business plan. You can use the help of google on what informations are required in a business plan. Once you are done with business plan, then things will start clearing up, the doors will open and you'll find your ways through by following your business plan.
Your business plan will be your guide and your decisions towards it will be your strength and will define the potential in your business.
if interested in teaming up, drop me a mail on above email address.

    Hi fin,

If you want to start a t-shirt company and you are not good at art you will will want to find designers to create visions. Maybe check out places like:

    -99designs
    -Fiverr

    etc.

If you want to start off slow or with little investment you may want to check out places like:

    -Zazzle
    -CafePress

You should also look up the screen printing / t-shirt manufacturing companies in your area and give them a call and ask them a few of the questions you may have. For any major city looking up there fashion district can lead to lots of great research / connections. If you want to go international you can start checking companies through places like Alibaba. What type of t-shirt company were you thinking about starting?
