Something that could connect me to the Internet any time. A laptop or a cellphone that doubles as an Internet browser comes very handy.

I utilize Twitter a great deal as well as a 60 page entrepreneur guide that I received free and downloaded at innoventum.com. This has been a great resource.

Just making another post as an update to my previous one.
My laptop is still my greatest tool. Monster Energy drinks help. Sticky notes are great, too.

Haha, "opportunity glasses," I really enjoy the term, and it is so true. I am constantly looking for opportunities, whether it is coming up with an idea from something I read or making a connection with a person on the T through light-hearted conversation, just be conscious of the value of what is around you.

The human brain awakened to the virtues of entrepreneurship is the best tool an entrepreneur can have.
It allows entrepreneurs to be different to the 9-5 sheep. It allows entrepreneurs to view failure as a learning experience. Ultimately it allows entrepreneurs to be creative.
The MacBook comes a close second. Pen and paper is so stone age!!!!!!!!

Stickies
I need stickies, like flowers need water to grow. All my marketing ideas to promote my graphic design business and email lists are on stickies. Can't run a business with out them in my opinion.

A satisfied customer is my most important tool to running a successful business.
I run a small business that is mostly referral based, and I find that keeping in contact regularly with my clients makes them feel like a valued part of my business and leads to more referrals (and in turn more sales). Like most small businesses, I don’t have a large marketing budget so I use a relatively new CRM called Chili Sales. It’s really easy to send out personalized mass emails and to track each of my client's preferences. I can find out who my most satisfied clients are and use that positive relationship to bring in more clients.
If you make your clients feel valued, appreciated, and happy, they’ll be your most effective sales team and your most important tool in running a successful business.

Checking on Your Productivity
I personally feel that with all the Social Media tools around, an entrepreneur can be so absorped into getting these tools running for the business, that it actually leads to lower productivity.
To ensure that my daily budget of time is not breached, I use RescueTime.com. Fab tool.
Try it out.
