Smile Times Square Advertisement new business

Hi, I am Taku.
I have a new business idea about advertisement in Manhattan, New York.
Its might call "Advertisement Man."
one man who wear a huge costume walks around the Times Square.
his whole body is covered by advertisement such as poster or sign.
if some companies offer me, I will show their ad by Walking!

I am not sure I need to pay some money to city or restrauts around Times Square?

I am not stay any place for long time, I just walk though.

Do you think it will work out?

Taku, this is not a sustainable, scalable business with a superior value proposition.

Good luck.

So you want to follow the steps of many people before you. I think the "naked cowboy" is doing something similar already in Times Square.

To answer your question.

I did not see anything on the City Licensing list that would prohibit you or require for you to obtain a license. However here is the link where you can do more research:

http://www.nyc.gov/html/dca/html/lic...ications.shtml

You do not seem to need a license for the state also, but here is the link:

http://www.nys-permits.org/

Lastly you may want to contact the NYC dept. of consumer affairs to ask further questions, here is the link:

http://www.nyc.gov/html/dca/html/contact/contact.shtml

I wouldn't call your idea a genuine business, but you may be able to make a dollar or 2

Good luck!

This concept has already been beaten to death...heard of "sandwich men"? If not:

Then again, this is Times Square...rumor has it that even that NYC's Naked Cowboy brings in the upper six figures:

More novelty and more scalability def a must with this idea...or maybe we could float the cliche phrase, "strategic partnership"? :-P

He gets revenue from tips and nothing more ... scary, yes, but then again, this is downtown Manhattan.
