Why would you choose to major in something that you know absolutely nothing about? That's why half of all college graduates are working regular jobs. Forgive me if I misunderstood this thread.

I'm in my 3rd semester of general business so I know a little bit about each. My plan is to keep going so I do learn about the major I pick. My question is what's the safest major to pick to get a job. I guess I should rephrase my question as, Is any one major more competitive than the other?

Many of my professors say that Accounting is one of the best majors because there is always a need for accountants. You'll need to get your CPA but then you open yourself up to the option of working for a company and later on starting your own accounting firm. It leaves you the option to start a your own company which is a reason I believe you are a member of this forum.
