I thought of a product the other day in the middle of writing a 30 page paper that was due the next day. My mind was wandering all over, even into some of the most uninteresting of things. The paper I was writing was on a topic I am also semi-interested in... yet I would think about how the little smudge on my comp. screen got there, and how much I like my soft carpet, and how I can move my belly like a belly dancer. I was wasting my time and needed to concentrate.
I decided to get some fresh air by walking down to the Safeway around the corner and getting some lunch. On my way I was thinking of types of supplements, drinks, foods, anything keeping my mind from being stagnent when I got back and sat down in front of my comp.
I walked aimlessly around looking in every aisle at every shelf top to bottom and found nothing I was looking for. The closest of product were energy drinks, but I didn't want a stimulate. This would only exasperate my wadering mind. I ended up buying Vitamin Waters - Focus (knowing it wouldn't help at all). I would have bought anything in the store that said it would improve concentration, brain power, memory, anything. But I found nothing. I was thinking that whatever I bought probably wouldn't work, but it may still have a placebo effect.
So heres my idea for a product:
A drink that contains ingredients such as Asian ginseng with Ginkgo biloba glucose, vitamins B, C, E, beta-carotene, magnesium, etc. that is marketed solely as a drink that helps you focus.
-Why don't I see any large beverage companies offering this type of drink, have they and did it fail?
-Is there small companies making these types of drinks and struggling?
I don't think I'm the only person who has thought of producing this type of drink, and I know I'm not the person who makes up the entire demand for this product. SO WHERE IS IT!!!
-I guess my basement concoction will do just fine for now![]()
