I heard about this idea a while ago, I think the guy behind bring Yo! Sushi to the UK market was also bringing this idea with him.

Not sure I fancy it! I get more space on the premium seat I have just booked on a flight for my June Holiday!

yep, though calling them "coffin hotels" is probably bad for business.

They're big in Japan because the culture there values the appearance of hard work. So almost every Japanese businessman has to arrive to work before his boss and leave after his boss, who's trying to arrive before and leave after his boss, etc ad infinitum. It's depressing really but they'll clock 90 hours a week and not really do any work, just sitting at their desks looking busy. If they had to commute every day they'd never sleep, there are funny pictures all over the internet of japanese business people passed out asleep in all kinds of funny places, so these modular hotels are a god send for them.

People diss on procrastination, but I think it has a lot to do with why American workers are so productive. We're good at doing things half assed and fast, so we can go home and watch TV, LOL.

Its a novel idea ... very convieniant .. and potentialy great budget accomadation ...

I was looking for late night hotel accomadation some time ago ..it was late & I had a bit of a limited budget ... anyway, there was a BIG music concert that wekend, and a lot of people from around the country came over ... every hotel I went to was full ... even the not so posh ones ..

I just wanted to rest my head ...

but maybe smething like this .. modified to a western spec and market, could be something of a potential hit ..

    there is
    www.yotel.co.uk

    and

Il continue to look into it, this might be something
