Question Thinking of Starting a Halloween Costume and Supply Store - Tips?

Well, At This Point It's Only An Idea. But I would like to start a seasonal shop for Halloween stuff.

Do you think this is a good idea? Any Tips? I want to see what you think before I spend too much time obsessing over it like I always do.

    Your Advice Is Greatly Appreciated.

    Thanks,
    -The Sause

Well, if you are thinking of doing it this year - you may already be too late. Most stores were prepping me for Halloween starting two weeks ago.

Also, there are nationwide "franchises" that do this. They will usually rent a vacant storefront from mid-August until Halloween and own the corner on the market for costumes etc.

You may have a bit more success in starting a seasonal store in which you sell things based on season/holiday on a revolving basis.

I think you might be spinning your wheels. The overhead alone will drain you expenses . A costume shop needs to be operated year round with emphasis on the all the holidays. Usually accompanied with a gift shop. Unless your designing speciality costumes, only then you might have a chance. And only by selling your goods to esablished costume companies. My advice: Go back to the drawing board, I know you can come up with somthing that would be more profitable. Take my advice--Ive been therel

You can add those Halloween Costume and Supply to your present store if you had. As the Halloween only once a year, so if you run a store specially sell Halloween goods then you will have no business during other time.
