They say you should start a business around your interests, but what if your interest is women?

I know the title is interesting to say the least, so let me explain! In one of my college business classes we have been partnered up for an assignment. The assignment is for both people to explain their interests and then to develop business ideas for each.

We have finished mine, which was fairly easy. I explained that I'm really interested in the hospitality industry and that my personality is outgoing. I love planning and throwing parties so we concluded that a bar, hotel, booze cruise or even a singles/resort type business would fit my interests.

But on the other hand, my partner said his major interest is women. My problem is that I keep running into the porn industry which I don't want to use a potential business idea. Women are a fairly large interest for many people, so why am I having difficulties building a business around it?

Do you have any suggestions?! Thank you!

You can combine both of your interests. You can sell sexy clothing and toys via the party plan. This is done as a respected business and you will find there are as many parties for these goods as there are for pots and pans, cosmetics, baskets, etc.

There are also BJ parties, where women are encouraged to bring their own carrot to practice with. Far from porn, they are parties where a good time is had by all.

At least I am told this is so. The lingerie / sex toy parties I have known about for years, and I'll admit I was at first taken aback when one of the site designers who uses my hosting company asked if I had any qualms about hosting a BJ party site.

I not only agreed, I volunteered to be a subject, but NYC was a bit far for me to travel so I just set up the hosting.

How about localised classes where you teach guys how to be successful with women? a lot of people do it, but by bringing it to a more personal level it could prove popular. Another option is to sell guides on the subject through a website?

I agree with the suggestion: teach pickup. The potential is truly incredible. People pay around $2k for 3 - 7 days and you can easily teach 5 people at the same time.
