I have gotten into different wholesale business depending on what you mean by which trade has the highest profit. You always want to buy low and sell high. Find a product that can sell well and you can get it at a very good price. When the product is new its even better . Wholesale always has profit its better that selling products to end-users but it all depends on what products you are talking about .

    Thanks

I found that the profit on food is very low. I worked with many many food wholesalers and the profit is like 5% when you factor in salaries and storage.

certain electronics and have large profits, but is very competitive.

My product is marked up 40% from wholesale.

I hear opium has a pretty good markup.

In all seriousness, anything with a desireable brand is your best bet. What do you think the markup is on a Versace T-shirt? It costs what, like maybe $2-3 to make, if that, and they sell it for $150?

That's an extreme example, but branding = markup
