The Building Experience

I haven't been on for ages. Our company offers DIY enthusiasts the opportunity to be involved in their own project. Our website has forums and blogs for our clients and other DIY fans and tradespeople. The website has developed quite a bit so would like to know what people think about it now

Thebuildingexperience - Home

But more importantly, i'd like to know if anyone has any experience of taking a small local company and bringing it to a national or international market place. Our business idea only realy works on a large scale, but we decided to run the company in a small sample area at first to see how demand was. But we are now at a point where we need to think about expanding it on a very large scale. Unfortunately none of us have any experience of this so would like to know how to go about this, what mistakes to look out for, etc.

Cheers

If you are going for the large scale audience what you need to formulate is your marketing campaign. With that said, you need to explore the idea of how much would your budget be? There are marketing strategists out there that can offer you this solution for a certain amount.

Simultaneous to this process, you should look at your operations now as a small scale and the readiness of your business to go large scale. Your expansion will need a sizable amount? What is it? The only way to find out is to figure out at what scale do you want to expand.

What is your growth forecast next year? You can base that on your growth now. What is it now that you are falling short on currently as your business grows? Where do you want the business to be in the next year, two, or even 5? Few questions to answer with you and your partners to gain some estimates on the direction you want your company to go.

Hope this helps.
