Angry The Biggest Hoax in Business History

The biggest hoax of the 20th century and in the history of mankind, purposely designed to exponentially boost sales and benefit large businesses and corporations was the Y2K Bug.

Remember when you were running around from store to store, stacking and packing up goods and durable inventory, carving hiding caves and rebuilding basement to safe keeping and protecting you from any of the much hyped Y2K mishaps?

While you stacked up bottles of water from Wal-Mart, candles, and Kerosene, canned goods, and everything else you thought you needed for the Y2K, while you were doing all that, businesses were smiling to the bank.

I’m just wondering what the guys who paid millions of dollars for the Y2K domains are thinking about now.

Do you remember what goods you stacked up for the biggest business hoax of the century, the Y2K bug? If you had a business, store-front then, did you cash in big time?

For as much as it was hyped i know a lot of people that just didn't buy into it.
Even though a lot of changes were done, we wont know if it was really worth it.

I got an IM from somene who claims that they've been doing this for many years.

And that prior to the water hoax, it was the toilet paper and before that it was sugar.

After 911 she remembers the masks hoax, when they wanted people to rush out and buy them.

They also said to seal your windows and doors and some fools actually sealed their entire houses.

Well I believe we will never know if the Y2K bug held any creditable threat. I work in IT and had to upgrade some of these machines first hand. I'm affraid to say that some of the older Legacy machines may have posed a serious threat. I think its a mixture of being prepared and sprinkling in a little propaganda to boot retail sales. Who knows.

Have you guys heard about the 2012? That's another hoax going on now that the world will end in 2012 when Satan will be released on to earth, which will create major Havoc.

Check out these Google search results and Google search results.

I guess we'll need to live and see what happens. Mayans did say that, and they're not here any more, so who knows, time will tell.

I didn't give into the Y2K hype but I know alot of people who did.

Honestly though, if it was an engineered hoax, it was brilliiant. It's not my personal style of doing business but some people will do whatever works

I was actually one of those who stacked up bottles of water and canned goods for the Y2K, and other goods. You never know what's real and what's not. So much was announced, the U.S. government spent billions in getting ready for the Y2K thing, so we thought we better be prepared than not.

And, fortunately, we're still eating part of those canned goods, after all these years. Except I never knew when I eat it until the day after, because the food preparers never tell me in advance what's for dinner. And then I can never tell the difference between the new and old ones.
