The Illuminati orchestrated this farce of a union in a totally undemocratic way by having their 3 puppets: Bush, Martin, and Fox sign the (N.A.T.U.) without consulting a single one of us tax-paying slaves of either of the 3 countries in question. I am staying hopeful that it will not come to pass, at least not as quickly as they hope because Americans are too patriotic to want to merge, Canadians don't want to be Americans, and both America and Canada are united in not wanting to be Mexicans...so there it is...The Illuminati have gone too far and will hopefully suffer a defeat...at least this once. Our country is broke, we have no choice and that is how they will sell this to us. You fail to realize that all our country does is consume, this will end soon because we cant just keep taking anymore. Eventually it will become a one world government but that's another topic all together.

You are right. But I must also disagree with your thinking on this Chris. In order for America to even be in a position where the people are willing to give up their constitutional rights. Let's pretend that the U.S economy totally collapse next week making all U.S notes worthless & so we as a society with nothing to our name run wild in the streets with no one maintaining order. In order for the government to keep social order. They will have to introduce to everyone one currency between these three countries. Telling everyone to accept the new currency & turn over all old notes which will be worthless, but they would be willing to change into one currency between these three countries. So out of "fear" people will do as they are told, in order to not only survive, but in order for the government to maintain power. Just look at 9/11 & how Americans were more then willing to give up their rights in order to be "safe". One good example is the patriot act. Slowly all American citizens are willing to give up their rights on the propaganda that we are being fed by the government.

who cares how much is it worth.
Lets say cheeseburger cost 1 dollar.
If 1 amero = 1 dollar than cheeseburger cost 1 amero
If dollar is cheaper and lets say 1 dollar is 0.1 amero, cheeseburger cost 0.1 amero.
If 1 dollar = 10 ameros then 1 cheeseburger cost 10 ameros.

It does not matter, even if they make 1 amero worth 1000 dollars or 1 dollar worth 1000 ameros. Its just numbers on papers you call money. You just change the price of everything acordingly like in that cheeseburger example

Excellent replies thus far, it is nice to see that some people do not believe everything they are spoonfed by the government.

I believe that the Amero is Obama's first order of action once he is sworn in. When Obama was referring to NAFTA during his presidential bid, it caused quite an uproar in the media. The Amero is a perfect way for the government to control everything that goes in and comes out of North America. NAFTA will become a thing of the past, and the Amero will cause borders to crumble.

I hope this will not happen, but it seems inevitable.

I've spent several long "all nighters" trying to get my fix on all this economic BS that is at the forefront right now. Much of my own distrust in our current administration stems directly from 911 and all the unanswered questions that the 911 incident created, and no one ever answered, honestly. "False Flag Operation", < if you wanna know my beliefs.

The Amero, as Lou Dobbs from CNN reports, may just be another criminal activity implemented by a government; one that presently is at WAR under totally false pretenses (nothing they originally said was true about the reasons for attacking Iraq and staying there, nothing).

I guess the question is not "What do you believe?" but is "Do you believe anythingthat politicians say at all?"

Forecast New Years 2009:

Don't buy Christmas Gift Cards or Gift Certificates, the stores maybe out of business December 26th. Watch the news (independent news if you can) right after Christmas, thousands or millions will lose their retail jobs. ALSO: An "international crisis" has been aired on TV that is supposed to happen on January 21 or 22, 2009. Colin Powell mentioned it during a TV broadcast I believe this last fall.

Bad idea. Although it reduces transaction costs, it creates problems for each country to effectuate a monetary policy to deal with current economic situations.

The problem with the Amero is simple: Canada and the US have first world economies, Mexico has a third world economy. The EU ran into a brick wall when it tried to recruit Eastern Europe for the same reason. When West Germany rushed to absorb East Germany after the fall of the USSR, the shock was too much, and the reunified Germany ended up being a much weaker country, since the east was so far behind the west. Even if you say that the US economy is gutted in 2009, there would still be quite a shock economically trying to integrate Mexico with the US. I can't see any way to cushion it unless they want to create another Great Depression, a risky strategy since the people may decide to fall on the swords of the elite since it would be either that or starve to death. The NAU could simply decide to give everybody government debit cards instead of going to the trouble of switching paper, then they could call it whatever they wanted. Most people already use debit or credit cards to pay for stuff anyway. Most money is electronic, the only people still using cash are drug dealers and a few lonely tax protesters. Social Security is already working to phase out mailed paper checks. Look for that system to be the foundation for a future NAU currency.
