Tennis Racquets

I am pondering a new business idea. Do you think a tennis racquet stringing pickup/delivery service is viable?

There would be arrangements with local tennis clubs/sporting goods stores to pickup racquets as they arrive weekly and then deliver them back after the restringing. Not a gold mine but I don't know of any service that does this. Volume is the key for sure.

Any thoughts?

My country club's pro shop restrings all the racquets themselves. This is the case with all of the country clubs my friends belong to and especially racquet clubs. Some even will do this for free for members depending on the club.
A stringing service that you could provide being on the east coast is lacrosse head stringing. You would have to learn how to string the different pockets correctly but this would also allow you to sell your labor and the stringing kit which is usually $15-$25 retail. There are specialized pockets that can cost $75 to string. You could also allow you to heads and shafts, many highschool and middle schoolers are now playing lacrosse and don't have the know how to string sticks well. You could complete with online retailers that ship by offering these services to teams in your area. You could also offer a website will full custom sticks, like a drop down with shaft, head (choose stringing, dying) and assemble it all then ship or deliver them to your customer.

Thanksguys. I see some ways to parlay this small service into many other revenue streams. I am really looking into it. There are several public/private clubs locally and everyone of them charges for this service, but the proshop staff is always backed up with stringings to do. This just came to me last nite but I have thought about it since and will start running some #'s now. Thanks Again Ya'll.
