Tech Guy New To Managing People! HELP!

Hi all,

Got a couple of guys working for me but I'm new to being the boss! What's the best way to keep 20 yr olds focused on the job. They're cool but they're not getting through the work as quick as I need them to.

Any ideas would be great.

The key to being a great boss is to joke around with your employees and make them feel comfortable and all.

There is a couple of things you can do, call a meeting and sit down with them and stress a time frame it needs to be done in.

Go fly a kite..
And you will understand the time for you to pull in and to release for it to fly higher..

1. set a deadline / time frame.
2. require your employees to update you their progress at the end of day.
3. if they could not meet the deadline, arrange for group meeting. Listen to their problems and give solution.

if they just like to play around, just kick them out. They are not respecting or appriciate their job.
there are many better people sitting at home now, looking for job & waiting for their interview.
