    surf/skate/snow clothing line needs partner!

small clothing line that I personally took months to plan and design. I believe I have a good brand, a good logo, and a great work ethic. However I'm looking for someone that is equally interested in the industry as I am. Only have about 20 pieces or so...but more keep coming. right now its only tees hoodys and hats. So all designers/possible business partners contact me and i can show you what I already got.

    thanks

    takeontheworld,

I am currently involved in the custom apparel business. I own a company called Power Promotions that provides printing on shirts, caps, and various other items. I would be interested in talking to you and see how I may be able to help you get your clothing line off the ground.

    best of luck,

I used to own a clothing line that went international. I sponsored various bands mostly in the U.S. but also in Australia as well. My shirts have been worn by Chanel of the Fantasy Factory, Diego Sanchez (UFC Fighter) and countless bands. Unfortunately I lacked any sort of business experience and the business eventually sank because of the lack of financial planning and I lost my job so rent came first. I've learned a lot since then and have always wanted to get back into the clothing industry.

I'm interested in seeing what you have so far. I think I can help you out quite a bit.

First I think this is a great I day, A Skate/Surf/Snow Clothing line. I am glad I found this tread. Let me ask you something, are you flow sponsoring any Skaters at the moment? If you don't know the answer to this question, don't get into this business.
Ok lets say you haven't got to doing that yet, first go to your local skate park and find a skater to flow sponsor. I am not sure what style of skateboarding you like, but I look for people who are into going big, large grinds, large airs/ollies, gaps and other things like that, but maybe you are more into techincal skating, which is fine.
After you do those things, you should look for a partner.

As for me, I never thought about working in the clothing business, however I am a Motocross racer and I know lots of Skaters, BMX riders, MX racers and more. I may be able to help.

Have you printed/manufactured any pieces yet? I'd like to see your name/logo/current designs if possible. I'm passionate about the surf/skate/snow scene but it is a pretty saturated market with a lot of small companies out there. How are you going to differentiate yourself? What have you done in the way of market research and what will be your edge? I can probably throw you some tips/pointers in the right direction at the minimum but it might be some rough and honest advice. Send along a PM with more information if you check this thread again.

If I may. The 1st thng u need 2 do is 2 avoid abbrev in tlking bout ur idea.

There are alot of people on this forum who have many professional contacts that may be of some benefit to you. Unfortunately, for you, no one will be interested in forwarding their very valuable contacts to someone who does not take enough time to use the correct diction. I understand that you may feel comfortable on this forum and it is very friendly, but you are looking for a business partner/investor.

It sounds like you have a strong interest in the sport and that is great, but you have to be able to communicate that passion accurately and professionaly.

    Best of luck

    Jake
