I am looking to invest into the stock market for the first time. I have around $7500 to invest and know what stocks I want to purchase. What is the cheapest/best site or way or purchasing stocks.

I have a scan of a newspaper clipping on my computer that ranks the top brokers. I can email you that if you pm me your email address.
Personally I use Scottrade they have cheap trading costs.
Do some extensive research before you jump in. $7500 is not a lot of money in the investing world which means you can lose it very fast. Also, if you're doing the trading yourself, compare prices between Level I and Level II Quotes. Most stock quotes (with the exception of Level II) are 15-20 minute delayed quotes. Level II quotes are direct instant quotes (real real-time) Check out the fees for each broker/trade. It can get expensive. Good luck!

vestking is 100% correct make sure you check the history of the company
I'm using Ameritrade and Fidelity, happy with both of them
TDameritrade is awesome. They have several tools that impower you to view almost any indicator or combination of indicators that you want. They also offer $9.99 trades and no commision if you hold over $2K in assets and trade more then 10 times a year or something like that.
If your just starting in on trading I would recommend reading Jim Cramer's Book "Real Money". You won't get rich off it, but it does a good job explaining why people invest, and how to know when to sell either when your up or down.

Letsbeef, I'm more than willing to help. Just a few questions; What's your trading expirience like? What markets are you looking at? Do you have good contacts in those industries? Why are you choosing to invest in the stock market? When you answer those I can give you a much better answer.
