Starting an Office furniture service company

I have this idea to start a office furniture company in the States but the source come from China.
What I would do is to make sure the furniture meets all the requirements in terms of safety and specifications. My main customers are company who are going to have a new office and in need of quality furnitures.

I am wondering if there's this kind of business already and if so, what is this industry called? Please comment all! Thanks!

Fair enough. I spent about 6k this week on it. If you do it well... internet front end etc.. The money im sure is good.
I think its way over priced for what it is.. but you also need to come with quality.

Office furniture sellers can be grouped as a whole or broken down into individual categories.
Tables, desks, Cubicles, Chairs, etc.
Each of these categories have competitors in the market already. What you need to do is figure out if you want to target a specific category or go after the whole.
Then you need to research, research, research your competitors. Compare pricing, quality, etc.
Then figure out what you can offer vs. them, figure out your completive advantage. Can you bring in a better product, will your pricing be better, how will you target your clients (online, direct marketing) etc.?
You have to be crystal clear with your direction and goal, then put together a thorough business plan.

Well all I can say is choose your suppliers very very carefully. They will end up making or breaking your business with their own quality of service and dependability.
