Hi,
I am thinking about opening segway advertising company in MD. I have found this topic by accident when trying to find out if someone figured this out before me. I see theres some companies that are running this business. Well, thats good, that mean it works.
I have a question to people who have already started it. What do you need at the beginning except segway ? How much and where do you order billboard to fit a segway ? How do you talk companies into advertising by you ?
I wanna start just with one segway (not much funds for a start) in central MD.
Any advices ?
Thanks

When I was a security guard, I used to use a segway to patrol around the mall. They even made me wear a helmet.
This idea of yours sounds great, just be careful of the liability issue. A Segway is very cool, but people tend to sue if there are mishaps and they get run over. Most or all of this issue can be handled by procedure, but it's something to add to your thinking and planning.

Hi, GREAT concept from a 34 year vet of entrepreneuring! Yes, I was thinking of HOT chicks riding the Segway and what if you knew when the Donald was going to be at a certain place for a shooting of the Apprentice? NOW there's exposure! More ways than one!

Flying banners, you can rent a plane capable of doing it and find someone with their PPL for under $200 an hour.

Funny I come across this thread. Just today I saw somebody in my area on a busy corner riding up and down the sidewalk on a segway. Looked like she was just holding a sign but still, cool idea.
