Starting a printing company - Your thoughts

I've been running some numbers for a while now. I personally think it's worth it. What do you think.

Vinyl cutter/plotter: 600$ USD
Additional printing supplies: 300$ USD
Total investment: 900$ USD / 1050 CAD

So you get about 43200 Square inches of various colors of vinyl sticker material.

With the plotter/cutter you can cut vinyl designs, stickers aswell as do engravings and other types of signs.


1000 4x1.5" vinyl stickers is usually over 150 CAD around my area. And over 100 USD Online.

Calculations:
8 Rolls of 15"x360" Vinyl = 43200 Square Inches
Sticker size at 6 Sqr Inches = 7200 Stickers
If I just make 7 sales for 100 CAD I'll only have 350$CAD left to clear.

im in the business..very tough industry for traditional printing....looks like you want to do more vinyl...what kind of machine are you looking to get? will you be doing your own designing (this is where the real money is)
