    Starting a hot dog cart/business

I'm very excited and eager to start my own hot dog business.
I have found someone local who has a cart that is just sitting in their garage and wouldn't mind renting it out to me. What should I offer them each week/month to rent their cart? What would be fair?
Also, what is required as far as a business license/health department certification?
Thanks so much for any help!

Is it a friend or someone you know professionally? If it is a friend/family then maybe you could try to convince them to let you have it for free for a bit (as they aren't using it anyway), after all, what costs is it going to incur for them if you pay for any maintenance it needs?

If it someone professional, it is obviously completely different. I don't know the going rates but I would assume something like $50 P/W would be appropriate? If you are clever with your locations, you should make that in one day, and therefore are into profits for the next 6 days of the week (depending on when and how long you plan to work for)

They are just predictions, but hopefully they can help.

Thanks for sharing this informative post. Numerous legal formalities and procedures need to be fulfilled even before starting this business. Probably the most important issue is getting a valid license to run this business. It really is incredibly substantially needed to obtain a City Business License and a Wellness Division Certificate of Inspection. In the initial stage you need to register along with your neighborhood government together with your business facts. You should furnish the various details like, the food you’re going to sell, the name in the business and so on. You might also be asked to provide facts on tax payment. In some cities you’ll want to get all the three permits/license to run hot dog cart business. So, do some proper research and find out your community rules and regulations to avoid fine.

The Hot Dog Cart business is a excellent business to get into, It can give you the freedom that a normal job cant give you and if you are looking to earn good wages a four figure salary weekly is not unusual, Its an ideal business to start, Some might say that difficult with licensing but you don't necessarily need one, there's private property Shopping Centres, Markets, Nightclubs etc, But apply to City Council's there Always Putting out to tender pitches and for events up and down the country, Just do your home find a spot before you purchase your Hot dog Cart and things should work out fine for you,

A hot dog cart business is a good business. As we all know, it's tough getting a getting a small business running at full steam. In order to keep it operational requires a great deal of planning and effort. However, with just a few key ideas in place, it gets easier. Here are some tips for starting a small business on the right foot. Begin with a small seed, cover your assets, have a clear business plan, remain competitive, put all contracts and transactions in writing (Regarding contracts, those that last longer than a year, involve sales worth $500 or more or transfer ownership of copyrights or real estate must be documented, writes Yahoo! Small Business.), and hire good and legal employees.

Well the 1st think you have to take in consideration is where do you place your business and what customers you will have in that location.
As for certifications i think this will be easy to get because you won't sell so many products.

You may offer according to the cart condition and size but I would like to suggest you should offer a minimum amount that you could effort easily in starting point, so that you never get any loss.
If your business will go fantastic then you can offer him little bit high so that he can be happy with you.
I found some other points that you should learn before going to start it:
    1) Discover effective tips you can apply to your online business to help make it stand out amongst the crowd and give it that WOW factor!
    2) Learn how to develop a personal style that shines loud and clear to give your business that extra edge!
    3) Learn how to make your business appealing to the public eye using creative imagery!
    4) Learn how you can bring out the purple cow in your business!
And much more important information about hot dog business plan I’m sure this will help you to run a successful hot dog business.
    Good luck!
