    Starting a auction business

Hi, I am new here, I am 22 and in college, I have worked on Ebay since about the age of 16 selling sporting memorobillia and cards, then got into selling tickets and was making a pretty good amount of money. I have learned the ins and outs of Ebay, but now I don't have much upfront income to buy a lot of inventory. I am looking into buying from dropshippers to start at least, I purchased the Worldwide Brands packages with all the wholesalers and dropshippers a while back.

I have one question regarding the tax id and setting up a business name. Do I have to setup a business name as a inc, sole proprietor, s-corp or such or can I just get the tax id number under my name to buy from these wholesalers who require the tax id. Also, if I need a business name, what is the easiest way to do this, is there any forms that I can fill out. Also, I need to find a niche to sell in, products and such. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you know of any other good dropshippers.

    Thanks,
    Chris

id go with a LLC. thats the simplest and safest. to be on the safe side id acquire a llc and a DBA(Does business as). both of which are very easy to obtain. go to your states website and download the "articles of organization" for the LLC. takes like 5 minutes to fill out. print and mail it with 70$ and in about 7 weeks you have an official LLC.
