Start-up Money?

I have a great idea for my area that has about a 3-4X mark up price and sells like crazy. I want to open up a small shop, or a booth in a flea market. I need about 500-550$$ Do any of you think that anyone would front someone this money because you could write it off during taxes? If not does anyone know how I could go about getting this money. I know it isn't much but I'm only 16 and still in school full time.

For something this small I have no need for a business plan. I am not trying to get more than 5 or 600 dollarsr from someone to start something small at first.

Two things:

To Opportunitize, I don't think that a VC firm would be interested in a $500-600 project.

To SmokeyJoe, you couldn't be more wrong. Regardless of the amount of money you need, you DO have a need for a business plan, whether it is to thoroughly lay out your plan to a potential investor to just to make sure that you have all of your bases covered. You ALWAYS need a business plan.

Im interested to know if you have gotten anywhere yet, come up with a business plan? I dont care if its $10 or 1 mil you need to sell the idea to an investor as much as your consumer.

1. What kind of location are you dealing with?
2. Where did the idea come from, have you seen or rise or fall somewhere?
3. What is your product, where did you get it and why would anyone care to buy it.
4. What do you need $600 to pay for? (predicted monthly expenses or initial product purchase?)
5. Whats the benefit for anyone to invest into your idea, how fast can you cash me out or is this long term?

Get the money what ever way you can. Get a part-time job for a while and save. My first business I started with $350 bucks and ended up making $7000 a month within 2 years. If you got the right product, price, service, advertising and/or location you can really go far.

It does help to have a business plan so you know exactly what your doing, what your goals are, how you'll get there and how long it will take, etc.
