Smile Start up, business planning etc. specifically assistance? (Where do I get?)

Hello everyone,

I'm Josh 28 from Indonesia..

Following up on my previous topic on my interest on starting a business in selling advertising via distribution of free notebook to students such as gpamedia[dot]com

My next step is business planning (specifically, not in general) therefore I was wondering if there's anyone who provides such services. Such as how to get started etc. (specifically on gpamedia business model)

Some basic questions such as

How did they get started? (by researching on advertiser's acceptance on the concept? / seeking approval from University and Colleges? etc.)

How do they price and profit from their business model? (Eg: cost of production per 1 notebook = $3.00 therefore charging $0.50 x 5 advertisers per notebook = $2.50 leaving $0.50 as profit?)

When they first started, do you require hiring a lot of man power or by delegating the distribution part to the University's management?

How do they package their product to advertisers? (More specific questions as follows)

Do they sell it on different packages such as 10,000notebooks/package 5,000/package etc. ?

Do they allow advertisers to pin point their distribution to specific universities? (If so, how do they manage and handle the advertisements printed on each notebook?)

--

I'm having problems mainly on figuring out how to manage advertisements such as each notebook will have 5 advertisers.. If 4 of my advertisers bought a 10,000notebooks/package while the last advertisers only bought 5,000notebooks/package. How do they manage the advertisements so it reaches the main quota?

Other than that, I hope to be advised on topic such as pro and cons of the business model/concept and issues that will be addressed by advertisers point of view.

Of course I'm willing to pay for such business analysis either via money or exchange of services. Better still if someone else is also interested in the same business, we could discuss together and share any information..

My email is joshlim.80[at]gmail.com ..

I hope to hear from you guys soon, thank you very much for taking the time in reading this thread..

Have a nice day!

Best regards,
Josh Lim

A little all over the place... but interesting. Have you written a business plan yet? Go to Google and type in 'how to write a business plan for free'. Follow one of the simple templates so that you can get your ideas organized. The guide will show you things you have not thought of yet. Once you have a solid business plan overview then you can start to work on the details like you listed above. It looks like you have put some real thought into this so please take the time to write a plan.... I'd be happy to look at it for you once you have put it together.
