Start something new or buy exhisting?

Just had some food for thought, as I have tried several types of businesses and have come to the conclusion that if profit is my goal, it is best to buy into an existing business rather than start up a new one. I know of people who have very successfully made 6 figures or more simply by putting their pride to the side and actually listening to others who get results. I have now invested what would be considered to be a small amount in the business world, yet the potential is limitless. Was just thinking, why waste my time and stress myself out when I can buy into a company for 500 and have a HUGE opportunity?
