Is it worth paying a company like sportsmedia.net to represent you in order to get approval for your licensing? Also, anyone have experience or know anything about sports licensing in general? If I want to license a product which features an NHL logo should I expect something like a $20,000.00 payment to the NHL+royalty fees?

I'd love to know this too....I get requests by people who want me to do portraits of professional sports figures, often so they can resell the artwork imprinted on tee-shirts, cups, etc....and I am always afraid and steer clear of the projects because of the licensing and/or copyright infringement aspects...
