Some about start ups, and some about cheap live chat for websites

Hello guys

I come to partly promote, partly get some advice/feedback on a new startup regarding Live Chat system. In an organization I'm working in we thought live chat systems is way too expensive so we decide to develop a low cost alternative to all the live chat systems there is. Now the gold release is ready, v1, and we expect v1.1 to be release very shortly when the customer feedbacks are done.

Nothing?? I'm not sure if this kind of business or start up simply doesn't say anything to this board or it is just the post itself that doesn't say anything.

Anyways, we now offer free accounts so you can try out the system easily. I really hope some of you guys can give a little feedback on this project as well as the Dream Conception concept.

Well I think the business is neat. Definitely a crowded space but if you focus on customers and innovating constantly to adapt to their needs then you have a GO!

Can you give some more info on your incubator Dream Concepts?

Yes, we believe that if we keep the focus on the exact customer needs (the smaller business owners and entrepreneurs) and keep on edge with a few key features we will be able to beat a lot the bigger players in that market. The nearest competitor would be zopim, a pretty big player but we will see if we cannot deliver a more simple, easy-to-use chat system

Regarding Dream Conception, this is what we really love doing; creating start ups with people, grow them and make them profitable. We take in ideas from aspiring entrepreneurs, and if we see possibilities for growing the idea we take it on us and help the entrepreneur the best we can to make a successful business (it will be in a joint venture form). I love live chat. It has worked wonders on my conversions. Is your system an overlaying widget like olark and zopim or is window based software?

Why not make your premium software free and find another way monetize? Just thinking out loud.

Yes, we have several things in mind for this. I believe you do have a good point of making the premium software free, and somehow find another way to make money, however this is not suitable in our current situation. But keep in mind, we do make the free version more and more attractive as we believe this is the right way to attract good customers and keep a good customer relationship. You try out the system first and then decide if it is worth the money or not to upgrade.
